PADI OPEN WATER REFERRAL COURSE - £200

Do your classroom and pool sessions in the UK and then do your Open Water dives in the warm waters of your holiday resort. PADI is global ... so chose your destination any where in the world.

Don't want to dive in the UK (yet) but want to get your PADI Open Water Diver qualification without spending long hours of your holiday in a classroom or pool? Then the PADI Open Water Referral Course is for you.

You can split your course into sections to suit you and your time constraints. The most common option is to complete all your classroom and pool session in the UK and then spend your time abroad with another PADI Dive School completing your 4 Open Water Dives.

Once you master all your skills and theory we'll sign you off with an Open Water Referral certification. Just take this certification card to any other PADI Dive Centre of your choice and complete your open water dives. Or you can join us on one of our trips to the Red Sea with Tony Backhurst Scuba Travel and we'll complete your dives with you.

If you just can't wait to start your theory sessions you can start them online now. Just sign up to PADI eLearning below.

Start your scuba certification online.

As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world; you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives.

What You Learn

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving (online, home study or in a the B.A.D. classroom)

  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills

  • Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore! (With another PADI Dive Centre of your choice)

How Long Will it Take?

The Open Water Referral course runs over 2 Saturdays or you can do the theory online if you wish. All PADI courses are performance based, not time based, so don’t worry if you get stuck on any part of the course.
